just wanted to share this video with you. No one published much when i was trying to learn so i figured i'd put some stuff out there. I think there are many folks out there that dont know much about hafting points to arrows.  just wanted to show how i do it, which has proved to perform really well the last few season for me. its all in a small point, smooth transition and a tapered shaft.  hope you enjoy it- Ryan

Cool video Ryan, thanks for takin the time to do it. Your firemaking vid was cool too, watched it yesterday. I dont have a youtube account so it wouldnt let me click "like" but when I get one i'll get back on there and click it.

thanks.  ive been wanting to do some videos for a while but seemed to lack the time. the summer months are slow for me but at least it allows for plenty of materials gathering and making a few fun videos.

Cool videos Ryan. These were hardwood shafts? when/if you make rivercane arrows do you just taper the cane or do you use a foreshaft?  I've noticed that when I taper a rivercane arrow like that sometimes it will cut through the wall of the cane.  Just wondering how you do it. Thanks

i do all my shafts this way.  the trick with cane if you dont want to use a for shaft is to whittle a plug for the cane and glue it in well. then taper. if you fill the voids well with glue you can taper them down pretty thin without busting through, cept at the point itself but you can cover the transition between plug and cane with more glue or pitch
