Here are some pics of some points I made of Brier Creek chert from Eastern GA. Most of these were made from large flakes left by the Indians. I just picked up some good ones, cooked them a bit, then chipped them into some hunting points. Of course they are not as refined or symmetrical as my artsy fartsy points, but as ya'll know I don't care about beauty when I'm hunting....I just want a good sharp edge that will cut that deer's heart in half, and a sharp but ugly point does a great job at that. The last photo is several points made from Flint River Jasper, and those are also expediently made hunting points, along with a large skinning knife. They're not perfect...but they're sharp as hell. Hoping to slam a deer or wild hog this fall with a few of these points. Enjoy!
