I've watched most of them and beats ole Dr. Phil but I would agree with the scripting etc. I'm kind of glad that they can't portay real mountain men. I'm with sea bass and have Jeremiah Johnson character in mind when I hear mountain man.

Well,  we all seemed to have tuned in and watched it.....  tv sucks so bad, when anything even remotely watchable comes on, I have to give it a try.  By their very nature, the sort of people who make television programs happen are just not gonna be able to capture what it is that drives people  to the wilderness, or what it takes to get by there.  It wasn't too bad compared to what was on some of the other channels at the time, but that ain't saying much.   I bet if we polled the folks on this site, we would find that we all watch the same 5 or 6 channels and never give a second look to the other 4 or 5 HUNDRED channels of crud that is on cable/satellite.

The friend of thiers that I know said the camera people had them hold the dog back and act as if it was lost to a grizz just to make the show more exciting!!  And it did retrieve some ducks but they did not show that!!

I talked to Tom Oar a few weeks ago. We talked about the show a bit. But More so talked about bows and Braintan.  He sure loves what he does though. Braintan seems to trump all to him, he does lots of it!   Hoping to meet up with him next spring when he comes down here to FL to visit his kid.
