You can make a pretty good pattern by working with light cardboard.  Just cut away at the two holes until they fit your fingers.  Then mark the cardboard in the outline of the three fingers you shoot with and split the notch where your two fingers wrap around the arrow.  Transfer to leather and repeat.
Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.

The whole piece wouldn't be more than 3x4 inches.  The idea of making it from light cardboard is to make the pattern you would then transfer to the leather.

How can we give you dimensions, if you don't know the size of your fingers? Such finger tabs, as I like to call them, come in various sizes. Small for kids, medium for small hands and women, large for most men, XL for large hands...you get the point.
Copy that picture into MS Word and enlarge it some. Print several sizes, each slightly enlarged. Cut them from the paper and test fit, to see which size fits your hand best. Then trace to leather and cut.

Ok so i built a finger tab, turned out really nice but "is the rough side of the Leather" supposed to out or in. And does it really make that much difference.
I made mine with the rough side facing in, towards me..! ???
