Yew Bow for a loooooong draw!!!
« on: March 19, 2012, 01:21:21 pm »
This was a bow I did for a trade but because the recipient couldn't know about it I didn't post it. It was a challenge for me in the it was made for someone with about 2 1/2 more inches of draw than me and my skill set of less than a dozen bows was pushed a bit. It did take a little set but all in all I am very pleased with it.....

Some of you have probably seen it posted elswhere but maybe some of you have not so here it is.

It's 64"s 53@29!! ...  It's got a braided hemp grip with a mule deer rest, poplar tips and shoots real well... My recipient paid me a great complement and knowing I like to video my bows for learning purposes he kindly did a you toutube clip with the bow.... Thanks Ralph and thank you all for you support here on PA...

Nice work Kip.  I like everything about that bow.  Looks like the recipient got so caught up in it..that he shot his dogs!  Oh no!

Great job Kip! Looks like a really happy camper!!

No Jamie I am letting that prime piece of Canadian Yew season a bit longer ;) It's to nice not to give some respect!! I got this piece from a guy in Washington and it was seasoned enough for the project....
