Rivercane arrows cock feather in?
« on: June 05, 2012, 09:09:16 am »
I've noticed that almost all of my rivercane arrows shoot WAY better out of my selfbows with the cock feather in. Anyone else experience this?

Did you find the stiff side before you fletched the cane arrows.   I have noticed if my arrows don't fly well I can flip them over with the cock feather in and they will shoot good.

No. They feel about the same to me on both sides. Is there a better way to tell the stiff side?

Thats the only thing I use a spine tester for on cane and hardwood shoot arrows, to find the stiff side. The stiff side goes against the bow. The nodes should go up and down.

I shoot cock feather in on a lot of my arrows and they fly better.......even my well tuned carbon arrows for my F-glass bows.
Happy hunting to all!
