osage scraps?
« on: March 02, 2012, 12:37:27 am »
If anyone has any Osage scraps or from any other type of wood other than oak be I'd be  interested in them. Maybe from a broken bow or failed bow. I would love to carve some spoons and stuff from different types of wood.

I can probably hook you up. But it'll be a couple weeks before I get back home.  I got some beautifully figured black walnut, Osage of course, some extremely fine ringed Russian olive pieces that I really, really don't want to look at anymore and maybe a few other tidbits.  If someone doesn't hook you up by the time I get home, I'll look around.  Josh

I have a huge bin full of osage cut-offs.  It's waiting for when I find a cheap wood stove.  How big a piece are you looking for?

I also have lots of osage (and other woods) cut to about foot long pieces waiting for a fire. I'd be happy to send you some if you'll either send something in trade or pay the postage. PM me if you're interested.
