So I cut it down and cut off a 72" piece which I then packed 1 1/2 miles to the truck, (sucker was heavy too) got it home, and rooted around the shop for the better part of an hour until I found my froe, which hasn't seen the light of day for at least ten years, then it only took me twenty minutes to find the bowling pin I use for a mallet, I then proceeded to split it in half, it was absolutely beautiful straight grain few if any pin knots, pity about the ninety degree twist in six feet
