I notice a lot of guys posting info and stuff in here for making arrow shafts, (Long Dowels)
Once i get going on my main projects I will build a shaft maker using sqaure stock.
I saw this one on a Professional Woodworker make one from a Hand Plane Blade. Very simple and effective, all he did was adjust the depth of the blade to get his desired diamater.
So if you guys have an extra blade kicking around there is no need to buy a jig from Lee-Valley.
