Sweet bow Ryan... That natural R/D gives it a awesome profile. If I were you I would go shoot something with it... You only live once...If you scratch it..oh well You can always refinish it

thanks much guys

coaster500-  I dont know what makes the red streaks. I have never actually personally cut down an osage tree, Ive never lived where they grow.  but i would imagine it must be something with the soil content...    we should figure it out and go spread some fertilizers around the trees we want to cut in the future..lol

I'm not sure what causes it either...I've got some of the red in my Osage stash, it was grown in a semi-sandy area on the edge of a corn/bean field.

Coaster, I cut other trees right next to the tree  that had red stripes in the staves ,that were solid gold.I have no idea why one tree would have them, and another not. There was no sign of insects,or disease. God Bless

You made that stick into exactly what it was meant to be :)  But it won't do anyone any good hanging on a wall.  Use it and abuse it!

My take down has that red and I agree it makes a sweet shooter..really nice bow, I will volunteer to take it for a walk and ill try not to beat it up too bad >:D I will also try to add to the red coloring  ;D
Is this bow making a sickness? or the cure...
