cedar arrows

I have some tight grain cedar that I would like to make into arrows. I do not know if I should split them into squares and plane them round, or cut them into squares with the table saw and plane them. the grain is pretty straight but it does move a little.

Hey Steel I cut all my own and use the table saw, while they are still square ya can flex them all for ways and if there's a any "bad" stuff they will let go before all the work (fun) starts.

Cut to 3/8"square X whatever length on the table saw, then plan the initial four sides down until you have eight sides, then plan the eight sides down and sand. Good luck and post pics, dpg
