I'm glad it got there and really glad you like it all.  I was going to write a note but was in a hurry to get it mailed.  The knife handles are curly cherry.   The sheath is buckskin over rawhide.  Those littlebeads are mid 1800s trade beads.    The stone is Texas rootbeer.  The quiver is dyed rawhide.  I love those things.  The necklace is a bone Cahokia.  I left the point dull just in case a child gets it you you wear it to sleep.  Have fun with it all and enjoy my friend.  It was a blast making it all.

Thanks for all those details, I was wondering about the handle wood and such...the beads on the necklace are real 1800's trade beads??

The trade beads are on the sheath just below the brass.  The necklace has old glass beads, but I don't think they are as old as the other.  If you want, I can make a necklace for the nine year old and you might be able to get yours back.

ahh, ok...I was curious about the multiecolored stripes on those beads...super cool!

thanks for the kind offer but I have a 12 year old too and he'll feel put out so I'll just find another cool, to a 9 yr old, necklace and get it back from him this weekend when I see the wife and boys.  You are much too kind.
