Mr. Crafty:  Am no expert, but  have used buffalo horns for a lot of different things as did the plains Indians.  You can make a beautiful ring for your daughters out of the upper end of the horn.  Have had no luck finding any real use for knapping, but have used them for all kinds of tools for ladles, spoons, forks, combs, needles especially ones used for making fishing nets.  Some of the Indians used them for feather plates in the top of their roaches as well as buttons and ornaments.  My access here is mostly for young cow horns some of which can be quite large, but not as tough as the old bull horns.  Good points for hunting rabbits can be made from them and it only takes a few minutes to make a small game hunting point.  I found not to make them too long and they are plenty tough enough. I really enjoy the videos you share with us!  A/Ho Joe

Thanks Joe.  Now that I've worked with the horn I'm hooked.   :)

Hey Crafty, I was thinking that Buff Horn might make some pretty decent small game / bird blunts???  Just a thought...

Lee, I think so.  The horn is lot like hard plastic and would be great for blunts.

Finder, good point.  ;)

Patrick,

I always enjoy watching your vids. Blunts for rabbit hunting would be great.
