An Antler tine makes a nice arrow rest, I use te thicker part of the tine as the rest.

I guess I am a woos,cause pulling a feather quill out of my hand hurts,so I glue or rap the front and check them often,and when they get torn I repair them,can't use a glove or lets say don't want to.
