Spina Bifida Walk-and-Roll
« on: October 26, 2011, 01:40:27 pm »
Hey guys,
I just wanted to let you all know that Mackenzie will be participating in the Arizona Spina Bifida Associations 3rd annual Walk-And-Roll on October 29th.  This is a fund raising event for the SBA and all monies raised will go to this organization and not individual participants.  The Spina Bifida Association is the only national health agency solely dedicated to enhancing the lives of those with Spina Bifida and those whose lives are touched by this birth defect.  I've never been good at asking people to donate or give money.  But if you are interested in supporting an organization that has helped us personally throughout our struggles with Mackenzie's health, please visit the following website and enter Mackenzie Danforth to sponsor her.  http://www.sbaazwalknroll.org/faf/search/searchParticipants.asp?ievent=484149&lis=1&kntae484149=E2AECA8F933749B18415E91FC636ADEF

Several donations have been made by the folks here on PA thank you so much for your generosity.

We are so excited that Mackenzie is going to be able to show off her new skills for a good cause.

She is growing up way too fast.  Just had to convert her crib into a toddler bed the other day and she is coming out with new words every day it seems.

Dude, that kid just keeps getting cuter by the day!  Now I know that has to be from her mother's side of the family (thank God for His kindness!).

By the way, the link Nate posted above is really easy to navigate, the donation process is pretty painless (except when I couldn't remember which billing address my debit card uses...duh!).

Yep we were Cam, pretty much made it an all day affair.

Mackenzie couldn't have been better, minus an afternoon nap and all she was a straight up angel!

She didn't want to do much walking after she got to ride on Dad's and Uncle Josh's shoulders but that's alright.  She get's a pass :)

Thanks to all those who sponsored her.  We raised $400 for the SBA!

Here are some pics before during and after the walk.
