Missouri Black Powder Society Pre-1840 Rendezvous

THE MISSOURI BLACK POWDER SOCIETY
will co-sponsor and is helping to organize a
PRE-1840 RENDEZVOUS
at the Missouri Department of Conservation , Andy Dalton
range and outdoor education center , Bois D' Are, MO
on Thursday (set up day), Friday 29-30 Sept. and
Saturday, Sunday 1..2 Oct. 2011
Pre-1840 campsites only. Primitive dress also required for the rifle
shoot, and non camping traders. We also have areas for teepees. We
are also looking for anyone wanting to demonstrate any primitive
skills. School buses will be arriving Friday morning. We hope to
have several hundred pilgrims attending. At this time we need
demonstrations for primitive iron working, basket making, story
telling, making gourd canteens, living in a teepee.
Registration fee will be $5.00 per campsite, and must be sent prior
to the rendezvous. MBPS c/o 9863 Lawrence 2210 Monett, MO
65708. Those giving demonstrations will be waived the fee. Prizes
for best camp, rifle shoot, best dressed man, woman, boy, girl will
be given. The camp fees will be used to buy prizes from the traders

We want this rendezvous to be an educational and enjoyable
experience for all that attend, so it may become an annual
rendezvous. When all is fmalized a flyer will be sent either by
email or pony express .
