Day trippin' for tools and/or rock?
« on: August 20, 2011, 06:07:47 pm »
Hi all,
It would seem that I need to get my own tools if I am to sit down and knap with my wife. I know I could make them, but I have a few days off and was wondering if there were any suppliers we could day trip to. I live (more or less) right where I-80 crosses the Mississippi on the Iowa Illinois border. Any ideas for a day (or overnight) trip?

Flintknapper.com, he'll have them at your door in at least 5 days or less.

If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?

I saw that site, thanks.  Wanted to go somewhere in person and look at supplies and books.

There are a couple...Iowabow shouldn't be that far. There are a couple in Chicagoland, but that may be too far.
