Hello from Chicago
« on: July 03, 2011, 04:21:08 am »
Hello folks,

Actually I a from Schiller Park a suburb real close to Chicago. I would love to learn how to build bows. I have the first 3 bowyers bibles and to be honest even though I read very well I learn by seeing someone else doing it much better.......(give a man a fish feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and feed him for life ) . Any chance anyone is around the Chicago area or any of the suburbs that can spend a little time with me ?? I would like to know how to build stave bows and board bows and sapling bows. I have or can buy whatever tools I need but really need someone to just take me through the process a couple times.....

I look forward to hearing from you folks and hope you don't mind a lot of questions as well.

Thank you,
James Sanders

I don’t have a set up to make bows yet. Put are there any archery stores/shols around?
