YUP!...well, maybe I ought to justify that YUP! It depends how big you'll want to build it. :o
The backstraps sound good to me.    Pat

Maybe next year if you have one.

Pat, just found my old fire irons and grate etc. ;D  Looks like we are in business. I'll sand blast the stuff and we are "good to go".

Dick, I have some firewood here but if everyone brought a little we should have plenty.  Have a safe trip to Conn.    Pat

Sean, Sorry you won't be here either. I promise we will have bunches of fun and we might even think of you while we are doing it ;D ...I just can't promise that. ;D
I see you are from the Dallas area. I hope you are keeping your powder dry. It's been a bit rainy around your area. My older brother lives in Arlington.    Pat

Man you're quick.  I edited the "idiot" into "yahoo" right after I posted because I decided it was better not to offend anyone with my first post.  I must not be quick enough ;D.  I'm in northeast GA.  I know pretty much nothing of primitive skills except for bow making.  I've made 1 poor bow, 1 mediocre bow, and 2 decent bows out of red oak boards.  I hope I can learn a lot from you guys.  Mind if I bring a friend that is a much better bowyer than I?

Thanks,
