kanawha black flint (PICS ADDED SUN MAY 8)

 i just went yesterday and got some local rock called kanawha black flint it is some pretty rough stuff. i was wondering if anyone else has ever worked it.  is thers any trick to keep it from hinging. i onluy got one rock and ive about busted all of ot so i dont have any pics but this weekend im going to get more and i will post pics, as far as i know its the only knappable rock in central WV.

Nope, never worked it.  But tough rock will hinge unless you take only THIN flakes.  You'll have to whittle the stone down.  It takes a while. ;D
Any critter tastes good with enough butter on it.

Looks very much like Rhyolite, so it can be worked ;D. Looks like a good haul.
