The first bow I tillered in 8 month gave me quite a few problems ::)

first of all even if it was taken down to just about this thickness for over 6 months when I went to bely temper it it showed a lot of moisture in it.

a knot and matching elbow on each limb about 2 3rds  took some time to get the wood to bend around them and tillering was quite a challenge.

stained it with my homemade Lava stain ( and did a poor job at it too ::) ::)) finished with spar urethane the grip is wrapped Jute overlays are Zebrawood

Looks pretty good Many. Lots of character in that piece of wood.  Justin

That stuff is really nice wood, the grain is great and I think your finish looks excellent. You sure make a nice bow.

Another nice one, Manny. Bernie will love it. Now the snaky arrow I gave him will have a companion. ;D     Pat

I'm impressed!! That looks great Manny - I don't know how you guys tiller those snakes. Just out of curiosity: What diameter tree did you get that bow out of?
When you come upon a track or trail you do not know, follow it to the point of knowing.
