I attached a link to this on another post, but I believe this is a better location. Absolutely crazy, what a rush!

Years ago when a group of sky diving friends asked another friend if he would like to try he told them"...only thing that falls from the sky was bird shit and fools..."  This guy might qualify as both! :D
I guess if you are into this kind of thing this would be as close to flying as we can get. Still I'll just watch others do it!  ;D
The guy(s) in the video are mighty close to those rock faces.

I'm  actually slightly envious. That just looks like way too much fun :o I'm with Pat though. I'll watch.  I saw a show where 2 guys where flying like this and one was going over a bridge and the other under at the same time. One hit the bridge going 120 mph. Actually here it is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IvjgvXcxMsU

Conjecture:  They may be hanging tight to the cliff faces to take advantage of thermal lift, improving their glide characteristics.

Observation:  I work with birds of prey and envy what they can do, and I bet these guys are acting on those same feelings.

Fact:  This is less like a bird than a 'flying' squirrel that really just has a controlled glide.  You are what you eat and squirrels eat NUTS!

I went skydiving for the first time last Sept.  It was freakin awesome!  It was also my first time ever flying in a plane.  So now I can brag that I have flown in a plane but never landed in one...:)
