Lovely bow!  I really like the grip - is it a hide band wrapped around to form the shelf, then the grip-wrap put down over it?

It's Hop horn beam, [not sure on the spelling but you get the picture]HHB. It was about the cleanest pice I have cut. Don't know why I gave it to him. ??? ;) Jon is pretty humble about his bow building but he has came a long way in the last few years. :)

That is a beautiful bow. full draw is excellent and I really like the handle and tips.

Yes, it was heat treated twice.

Brace to back of the bow is 8-1/8th"  to the throat of the grip 6"

Jon, that is a sweet bow. I made one from that non-breakable HHB from Pappy's place a few years ago. I just gave it away to a newbie 3 weeks ago.

Great job Jon,that's a very nice bow. It's hard to beat HHB. I've got a 5" log in my shop that is due to split tomorrow. ;)  God Bless
