Hickory or similar for axe short handle
« on: February 10, 2011, 10:52:11 am »
Does any one have a piece of hickory for a small axe handle?
Or any other suitable handle wood?

Its a large hatchet really or small hand axe I guess.
I use it for light chopping but mostly for roughing out staves.
Id like around 18" or more.

Yes I know I can get one at the hard wear store but I Love building my own stuff!

Thanks!
