Inlay for strike plate?

I have a bunch of old ivory key tops off of pianos and was thinking of trying to inlay some for a strike plate. Has anyone done this and how did it go?

I remember seeing a how to either here or on PP a while back.

I have a few of those myself. I was going to use them for splines for reinforced self nocks but strike plate for yout bow would be another option. Maybe even for tip overlays  or an accent strip for tip overlays.

Ivory inlay, just the same process as inlaying WB horn... Looks best on dark wood.
I've done an Ivory arrow plate on my fave' longbow.

At first I thought that said Favre longbow.  I was trying to figure that one out, but then I re-read it.
