Also check with your local arborist (Tree trimmers) They are always trimming tress, especailly fruit trees like plum,apple, cherry, ash. Often they just throw the branches in the chipper. so if you can get them to call you when on a good tree, you can just show up and pick out what you want.
Arborist are a bowyers best friend sometimes.
