TURKEY QUESTION

this question is about hunting turkeys with a primitive bow and yards is allso a factor..what do you think the MINIUM weight of a bow that could  be effetive on a bird...i have shot 5 birds with shot gun..BUT,i am thinking about doing it next year with one of my bows..thanks john

 John, I think with a sharp broadhead or stone point a 35# would work. Myself, I don't think I'd go with less than 45#. I shot my Osceola with a 60# bow, bamboo arrow and coral point at ten yards. I thought I had missed because the arrow never slowed down and landed about 40 yards after a pass thru.

thanks Eddie..i have a 59'' bend threw the handle yew wood bow..that i still need to check weight on..if it has some weight to it..i would like to take it hunting next year just because its short..and could hopefully sit on my butt or do some sitting on my knees...but,my legs allways goes numb...thanks so much for helping out..john
