what a mess handle and full draw added
« on: September 20, 2010, 11:55:25 pm »
well after push mowing my moms grass i came home around noon and treated myself to some bow building ! started on one project and then got side tracked . ended up with a hickory recurve 56 inches tip to tip 42lbs at 28inches. after looking at so many native bows lately i decided to try my hand at painting the back of one ....not my cup of tea !! anyway here it is full draw when i have some light .

Heck yeah, looks like a fine job to me.  Is that a stave or board?  I made some bow boards kinda like that and they've shot very nicely.  Nice job!

Great looking bow! So what's the project you got sidetracked from?

Great little project Ken, looks almost too cute to hunt with ;)

And 86 boards left???  Potential for a good looking arsenal there hehehe

Also looking forward to your aforementioned project.  More than a few people on here intrigued about it, I'd be willing to bet.
