Question about bamboo Compression

I am working on a maple Horse Bow and have some bamboo for the belly, the backing is 2 layers of Flax linen coated with Tite Bond 3.
My question is since the backing is just linen would the Bamboo be to much for the Belly, compression wise?
I don't have enough sinew for the backing that"s why I am using the Linen which is wrapped on the back and sides of the Bow.Thanks.Phillip

Linen is insanely strong when applied correctly.  Consult the Bowyer's Bible for information on flax and it's application as a backing.  You shouldn't have a problem in this application.

shouldn't be any problem for the bamboo if it is good bamboo.
If you have a some left over from the bamboo, make a breaking test before you glue it on the belly.

Looks like my Bamboo will work. Got the belly glue up and drying.
