Care and Feeding of your Wood Bow?
« on: April 24, 2010, 11:06:34 pm »
I'm making a bow for a friend of my Dad's.  I don't know this guy and the bow is supposed to be a gift so I can't exactly call him up and explain everything to him before he strings it up and hands it to a friend with a 32" draw :P .  I don't think he's had any expierence with traditional equipment and want to make sure he knows what he's doing with it.  Does anyone have anything written up for the care and feeding of a wood bow?  Something that will cover things like brace height, Stringing, leaving or rather not leaving it strung, how to check for string wear,  etc...?
