Kids bows/ dimensions for red oak (mollegabet pattern)
« on: April 19, 2010, 11:45:26 am »
Fellas,
Here are the dimensions for the kid's Mollegabet style bow. Red oak board w/ the grip and lever thickeners glued on. Minimum amount of tillering required and a good, smooth shooter.
In the pics....if ya look at the belly shot you can see where the "extra" was glued on. I used hardwood but ya can use about anything (like SPF, pine etc) since none of the areas are "working" and they are on the belly side. Hope it helps some.

Wait a minute... you can glue on the lever thickness?  It won't split off?  Still edge grain?  I see the dimensions are in the attachment.

Very nice.  Thank you.

The levers are non-bending.  No bendy, no poppie!  Alla same handle!

There isn't any problem with adding thickness to the levers...just make sure ya got enough length to get into the lever fade area and treat that just like a handle fade......haven't ever had one let go yet ;)
