finished one
« on: April 13, 2010, 06:01:52 pm »
hopefully this doesn't double post. I finially finished my fourth bow this one is for my girls.  It is made out of black locust.  They chose the colors Pink and Black.  I stained the bow cherry blossom from the minwax tintable stains.  The bow is about 55"ntn and pulls around 15lbs at 26".  It seems to shoot fairly accurately so far, have shot about 100 time my self.  I am new to archery as well.  It is a simple d style with even bend tip to tip

Really nice. This bow looks great and your daughter looks like a natural bowyer. Bookmarked, too, for April Self Bow of the Month fun.

That looks great, and it's really cute. I'm allowed to say "cute" and mean it in a positive way when the bow is pink; that's my rule. The craftmanship looks dead on, nice tiller, clean lines, simple, elegant, everything a bow should be.

well done.
