Nice points! I shoot them every chance I get especially crows.....I collect their feet..

dont know about the sparrows,but if you just shot crows around here you would get a fine from the dnr.
we have a season,then you can hunt them but they do have a daily limit.
i love calling crows.i live in a pretty good size town,67k people or so.i sit in my back yard with my crow call
let out a few distress calls and in about 5 mins there are so many crows its spooky.
like the hichccok movie "THE BIRDS".scares the heck out of the neighbors when i do it

Actually they taste a lot like most dark meat birds. I used to hunt them and eat them when I was a kid. Now I just shoot them to kill them. No I'm not talking about an invasive species either. Any bird that works over my cherry tree, grape vines, or peach trees is going to die if I get half a chance.
