wanted 1 arrow head
« on: February 27, 2010, 02:38:44 pm »
Does anyone have (1) glass arrowhead that they are willing to part with. I am new to the traditional archery scene and would like to try and attach one to one of my over spined arrows. I am a low budget shooter and cannot spend much so please let me know and we will go from there.
Thank you.........Rick

You could post this in the trading post. What do you have for trade?  May be able to knap an obsidian one up for ya.

If your shafts are too heavily spined you will need a heavy stone point weighing well over 125 grs.   Leave your shafts long and you can reduce the spine weight by 5# per inch for each inch over 28".

You are a "low budget shooter", but you are going to hang it on the wall? ??? ??? ::)

If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?

alright
well i have obsidion, not glass but volcanic glass.
some of natures finest
im not gonna say a thing about how if its just a wall hanger how you probably have time to learn the basics of knapping to be able to make a point for the wall
or even to shoot.

you say you dont want to spend much, well thats good cause i wont charge you one copper cent for an arrow head

but what ya got to trade  >:D >:D ;D ;)

i would be willing to give one up,but material aint free for me and it takes a little time to make them, not to mention trades are good  ;D

I would like to have one arrow head to make up a wall hanger on a bamboo shaft I have. The longer the better (within reason). What would you charge for a single head ??

Thanks
