My mama named me a long time ago, although I get called a lot of names other then the one she came up with sometimes!  ;D

I just wanted to test the range of heat treatment just short of putting the stave in the fire. I think I've established the high side of the range...now just need to figure out the best stopping point for just the right shade of scorch. ;)

If you're that short on brat roastin' wood, I'll bring you some down to the classic, no need using a nice roughed-out piece of osage  ;D ;D Greg, I've actually done that one before myself, charred a nice piece of mulberry.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one that's pulled off that trick! ;D Well, Pappy has a saying..."gotta have fire!".

We did have brats that night, brats cooked over osage...yum, yum! ;D

I'm sure we're all going to be sore for a few days. We probably cut 10-12 truck loads of fire wood Saturday. I had four loads in my old 3/4 ton gmc myself. Should have plenty for the classic, so you folks planning on coming and camping, we already have wood stacked in the camping area for you. ;D

Got lots of wood cut so you want need to bring any if you make it to the classic, just ask and you shall receive. Also me and Greg got a little time to shoot our new bows, don't seem like we get the time anymore to shoot like we use to,by the way the pictures of the shots ,the good one are mine. ;D Got time finely Sat evening to work on the arrows jammie sent me several monts ago.Got the nocks cut and plan on trimming some feather and fletch them this week.they are going to be pretty.Had a friend that is a mechinest make me some jiggs to cut the nocks they work good.
Didn't do much cooking,no time this weekend and everyone was so tired by the end of the day
just eat light and went to bed. Also had some friends come in from Mi. for a week of Turckey hunting, they are there now and here I
