Got her about 25 lbs of ground and lots of steaks and roast, don't quite have all she needs but I am working on it. It was cold but prefect weather for hide work, especially scrapping so I took advantage of that.  Had 4 to scrape and 1 to rack up.

The 1 with the big hole I decided to just turn into project rawhide. Had 2 legs I want to skin and tan also. Sister loving the fire, Annie is in season so she spent most of the weekend in the kennel  I told Miss Joanie that my girl wouldn't do anything like that and she assured me she would given the chance. A good supper and nigh's rest to be ready to get back at it Saturday.

Got after the hides hard Saturday got 2 more scrapped/sanded and ready for brain tan and another one in the rack to dry.

Legs skinned and fleshed, brats for lunch and another good supper, hope yall had a good one also. Life is Good.

Headed to the cabin for a couple of days, got a couple of hides to scrape if the weather stays good and helping a friend process his deer tomorrow, hope to get in a little hunting also if the rain holds off. Hope yall have a good one also. Life is Good.

Thanks Bob, didn't get in much hunting, went a couple of time but still got the cough that I can't seem to shake, hate sitting in the stand coughing every 10 minutes, maybe I will shake it in a few more day and can get back after them. Had a few things to do around the cabin so stayed busy. Had a good friend pass away a year or so ago, his wife is moving to NC to be closer to family, I had helped him 10 or so years ago replace the post on this old dinner bell with a good ERC off our farm. His wife sold the house to a lady out of California and was sure she wasn't interested in the old bell so she wanted me to have it, I had the prefect place. right by the kitchen . ;)So cut a new post and cleaned up the bell/ had to straighten some of the parts but got it looking good/ringing loud and all set up with a little help from some of my buddies.

Had an old capping blade that need a handle so cut some nice old Osage and got it laid out. My girls as usual just hanging out close to food and fire. I helped Brian process a deer, he wanted to learn how and was a fast learner.  Also took a ride on the farm, Beau has finely decided to build on the farm, it makes me really happy the grand kids will now get to grow up there and hopefully learn to love it as I do. We picked out a really good spot with woods in the back yard and a nice creek to boot.  When I was a kid I would have though I was in Heaven with a set up like that.

Found this spike dead while out riding around, not sure what happened but the buzzards was having a feast with him. Then a good supper of deer neck roast and of course Dave's tatters. Then had a good time watching Annie and Don's Shepard playing tug a war with a deer leg, these 2 dogs are the same age,raised together, both girls and never fight , just hang out and play all the time. Makes me tired just watching them.  Hope yall had a good one also. Life is Good.

There were a lot of farms around here that had a dinner bell Pappy.

When dinner was ready the bell rang calling everyone in from the fields.

I love watching our dogs play. It’s just like the two you described except they aren’t blood related but they sure do love to play. It sure is good exercise for them.

These 2 aren’t blood related, the Shepherd belongs to my buddy that owns a little farm that joins ours, but he is over about every day and brings his dog, so they have played together since they were pups, you would think they were sisters. Sister my brother old dog loves it also, gives her a break from Annie . 😉😊 Pappy
