Pappy. I'd like to know how many miles of wood that bandsaw has cut over the years. Your cat jerky turned out nice.

Well now I have another project, Margaret Ann ask me yesterday to build her a bow
She saw her dad shooting and now wants to do it, so of course that is on the top of my to do list. I built her one when she was born but of course it is to small for her to shoot, so I took some measurements yesterday while she was with me and she is 35 inches tall and looks like she could draw about 12 inches if she draws like she should, so I am thinking about a 36 in.T-T 15@15 that should hold he a while. I just happen to have some really good billets that are 36 long and beautiful wood so that's the plan.
Shawn is coming down today and we plan on making some pickles, his garden is way over producing so he is giving me some , mine is way under producing.
He wants to jar up some big ones and call them Pappy pickles.

I like them both Ben, but pickles better.
Headed to the cabin, we have a big day planed trying to get all the ranges set for the IBO Traditional world, We hope to get them finished today and tomorrow. It is closing in and need to get it done. We have 95 targets to set so that takes time. I also got started on Margaret Ann's bow yesterday. Got it cut out and some what floor tillered, hope to get it at least braced over the weekend. For some reason I dislike making kids bow, much rather build a full size. :)They are just tough for me and try my patients.
Hope yall have a great 4th, see ya Monday. Life is Good.

Great weekend, got all the targets set for the up coming event and still had time to finish Margaret Ann's bow and get in some shooting. A few pictures. Her bow in the works and some pictures of the course.

Margaret Ann's bow braced and ready for a little tweaking on the form. My girls just doing their thing. Dan gifted me a dozen beautiful arrows for my trip out west, tapered and matched, with my turkey feathers, also weigh in at about 600 grains with heads. Prefect, thanks Dan.

Margaret Ann's bow getting a small shelf and grip work. Mark showed up for some table cleaning and also brought the Hickory bow he just finished, it is very nice and I am sure the gal he is giving it to will love it.

Deer horn tip being put on Margaret Ann's bow and it finished all but writing and sealing, came in 15@15 , . We had her today and I let her pull it, may be just a little heavy so I may take a few more pounds off before sealing, but the main thing is she loved it and I got a big hug for it.
Got to love that.
Life is truly good.
