Ya we have a good time, if you don't like late to bed and up before daylight it ant the camp to be in,
we are afraid we might miss something so sleep is scares.
Friday and headed to the Cabin for a fun relaxing weekend.
I may go to a shoot in the morning but other than that no plans. I starter another powder horn and knife this week and hope to get some time to work on them, got 3 bows to tiller but with this weather/rain and 95% humidity I just can get enthused to work on them, hope that gets better ,hunting season is closing in and I always like to have at least 1 new bow to break in in the woods.
Hope yall have a good one. See ya Monday. Life is Good.

Really nice pictures Pappy. I really wanted to make it there to meet your gang any listen to the picking. Is that picture of the WWII vet Dave the tee-shirt guys dad. It looks like him to me, my cousin and I meet him at Marshall and thanked him for his service. We had a nice talk very nice man with very nice son and grandson.

Yes that is Dave's dad, great guy for sure. Beau did a tribute for him last year at elm hall [ a song he wrote for the WW2 vets especially and for all vets really] we try and look Dick up anytime we are where he is, a true American hero.
Great weekend , got a few things done in the shop and also went to a shoot in Dickson Saturday with several of the guys, had a very good time. Here are a few pictures of the fun.
Sister and a couple of projects I am working on, another powder horn and a knife with inner cow horn scales.

Sally and Sister doing what the do. Projects in the works, also another side quiver. After finding out when I add the strap on quiver to my bow really can change things I decided to just turn them all into side quivers.

Dan working on another knife and me working on my side quiver, I use the limbs off of broken bows for the main frame, got plenty of them laying around.

Quiver all done except some sealer if I decide to seal it. Shawn showed up with some Osage he wanted to split so Dan and I jumped in to help, turned out some fairly good stuff.

Trimming up the bad ends of the Osage.
Then some meat and taters over the fire for supper. Saturday morning early at the shoot.
Only 2 real bows in our little group, Me and Mike Scott, Mike showed up for his monthly Butt kicking.

Probably our best overall target. They had some cool shots, I wonder where they come up with these ideas for shots.

Pictures around their Club, they are really getting things together. :)This is what a steel crow will do to an arrow.
Lots of broken arrows laying around.

More around there club, they also held a leopard of ours hostage until we came and paid the ransom to get it back, now I know where they got that idea,[ElmHall]
but it worked to get us there.
Of course you can ask Rocky, that goes both ways.
Then back to the Cabin to finish up some of my projects.

Thanks Greg, it was a fine weekend. :)The scales I split a solid piece of horn planning on using them for the scales but after I split it I saw if I reversed them I would get a much prettier scale, I like the way they turned out.
It was a good time with a bunch of very good friends, Hard to beat shooting/eating and poking at each other .
Hope yall had a good one also. Life is Good.

I had to laugh when I saw that the nearby bow club had your "cheetah" for ransom. Seems like a good bunch of guys, even if they are of the horse thieving variety.
