First bow

    I am finishing up my first bow. its a 62" pyramid shape red oak board bow, between 45 and 50 pound. wanted to know best material for string and where to get it?

I have a good sourse of Linen...but I normally just buy B-50 from any place I can get it...if you want to try Linen...PM me and I will give you the Address

I prefer B-50 bow string material and you can get it from 3Rivers and other PA sponsors or your local archery shop.

I agree go for some B 50 at first.  A spool or two will last a lifetime.  Especially when you get into dogbane and sinew strings.  Post some pics of your bow when you get it finished up.

i have always used artificial sinew for my strings. you can by like 1500 ft of it for 7 buck and it has like 70# test. I can make an endless loop style string from it in about 15 - 20 minutes and have never had one break on me ;D. i usually go 5 strand.
