new and still learning on bow builds...is there a standard for distance from grip to string ??

well i like them just high enough so as not to get wrist slap
and yet you want to find the sweet spot,so as to speak of,that the bow shoots good from also
usually for me that qround 5.5"-6"

bubba, try a Fistmeal. It is the distance of your closed fist with your thumb sticking up. On most people it is about 6-6.5 inches. See how it shoots and tune it from there.

Yep i have read that the way mullet suggested was an indian method for the measurement. but generally s long as the feathers clear your in the clear
