I'll bet you could split a playing card with that hawk head! I've been wanting to make a hawk myself. I have some spring steel from a truck here, could I use that for forging?

Finally got around making a sheath for the skinner today. It's calf leather lined with dear rawhide.

That came out real good, Frank. That is my favorite carry style. You can sit down without it being in the way.

PS: Eddie it's the first of that type sheath I made/used and yes, it's really comfortable to wear! Also thought it was the right style to go with the large skinner, too.

@sadiejane: yes, the moose antler scales are tailored to fit my hand; it's a big heavy knife but feels nice and dandy due to the perfect handle.

Good looking tools. The moose is really nice. I've only used white tail antler, bone and wood. You ever get the hawk done?
