Nice bow, Frank!!  I bet that she really slings an arrow too with those narrow tips.  Your finish work is out of this world!   :)  -josh

Medicinewheel, I couldn't help but take another look at your photos this morning, and like before Wow!
What did you wrap around the bow I'm guessing eight to ten inches from the tips, it looks nice. I think
that kind of wrap would help me cover a lateral heat crack on the belly of an Ash bow I've made.

Thanks lombard!
It is linnen wrapped in Tidebond2, dyed with permanganate, sealed with tb2 and waterproof boat laquer.
The crack you may want to first superglue dry, degreased rawhide (fleshside out!) to it, and then wrap tight as described above.
Hope that helps to save your bow!

Ps: the wrapping above and below the handle is done that same way.

Very nice job. Hats off!

But, I'm annoyed about that I saw the pics first,
before bow in real.

I´ll come for a coffee and kneeling down!

SEHR SCHÖN!

Buggi

Buggi, my friend, come by anytime for a coffee, and do as much kneeling down as you like!  >:D >:D >:D
I like being your neighbour and being friends with you and your family, and thank you for many coffees!

Seeing your work always gives me incentive to try to make my bows a little better. Your tips on tip overlays helped me a lot .
I wish I lived around the corner so that you could show me firsthand how to turn out a great bow!!!

barebo, PA really is the right place to improve your bowyer's skills, all you need to do is watch, ask and be patient when you try!

Here are two pics of the fulldraw, well...something like 28"; the bow is tillered to 31"
On both pictures, the bow is sort of canted, sorry about that...

i'll bet that one does pretty well in the performance department with the working limb at mid pont and the stiff low mass tips.  nicely done.

Thanks again crow, Kirk, hammer, Dave, OldBow, Gordon!

I'm glad you all like this bow, because it caused me some trouble to accomplish due to the ununiformity of the wood in both limbs, but it really came out nice.
As you can see I could not really do much about the lower limb being a bit stiff right out of the fade, when I tried the tiller began to flip; but the bow is long and certainly stores enough energy the way it is, and there was no balance problem at all.
She has a pull soft as butter and flings my regular arrows of 75#-spine, 29" as if they where tuned for her; I am truely impressed by the performance!
