Horsin' Around
« on: November 04, 2009, 09:31:43 pm »

Jim (Hardaways points) came up to Virginia last weekend, we found a few hours to knap. His wife Anne was showing Merlot the thorobred at the Va Horse Center. Merlot is quite the character, we bonded over a few grapes. The show went well, Jim is like me only he knaps better. We made a few flakes, a couple points and a mound of gravel. Here's a few shots. Jim, I'll see you soon and I will be looking for green RHYO! PD

Thats a good day in my book. Jim is a fine individual also.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intentions of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body. But rather to slide in sideways, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming....WOW WHAT A RIDE!!

It was a lot of fun & great to meet Pete. For how new he is to knapping, that guy can knock out a beautiful point. Scary to think what he might be turning out in a few years. That is some pretty country Pete lives in too.  Those are some serious hills in that part of Virginia.  I look forward to going back & spending a little more time chipping & B.S.-ing and less time shooting video of the riders. I usually knap alone at horse shows and this was a welcome change.

Looks like a good time! Nice points and nice hunk of horse flesh too ;).
When you come upon a track or trail you do not know, follow it to the point of knowing.
