I spent all day Sunday simmering a pot of bear fat, didn't stink at all, actually smelled quite good kinda sweetish
I ended up with 5 pints af rendered grease
Will be offering half pints for trade

David first time I ever did this without refrigeration it turns white but will still be somewhat viscous, sorta like a thick mud
from everything I hear bear grease is way better than hog lard for waterprofing

It's usually liquid at room temp. David, it's quite similar to lard, but thinner. Good clean bear grease makes good biscuits.
