Obtaining Bamboo shafts
« on: August 24, 2009, 09:15:55 pm »
Anybody  have a  source  for bamboo  shafts,  I'm  sure  this  has  been  brought  up  before  but  I  haven't seen  any  definitive sources, seems  to  be  a  good starting  point  until I harvest  some  in  the  wild and get  equipped  for  sorting spines  and  what  not,  thanx:)

Hi, you can always look on Ebay. There is a seller from China who supplies spined, ground and tempered shafts. I bought some and they were fine.

Craig.

Thanx  for the  info,
Finished  up  this  little  birthday  quiver  and  a  few  arrows  from  dowels, not  gonna  win  any  contests with this  setup  but  it  was a  hoot  and  a learning  experience  building  arrows  from dowels,  did  come  up  with  a  useful blunt  tip  using goop  and  rubber  dip, wanted  to  make a  'safety'  arrow  for  starters
