Where to buy good snake skins
« on: September 07, 2009, 07:20:00 pm »
I want to buy some rattler skins or copperhead skins for my next bow...any good sites other than 3river's that sells them...I just can't see spending $50 for a pair!

For my money there isn't anyone better than Pine Hollow, and buying from advertisers like them keeps this forum open and free.   http://www.pinehollowlongbows.com/products2.asp?CategoryID=3

Mike at Pine Hollows, skins will cost close to $50.00 a pair no matter who ya buy them from, but Mike makes sure the skins match before they get packaged. This makes a big difference in the end, well worth the the money. Copperheads are like gold, hard to get and very expensive.

Gary Davis sells matched pairs of diamondbacks as well.  His company is Rattlestick Bows.   I believe he is an advertiser.

Then You better start Snake Hunting then....because $50.00 a matched Pair is really quite reasonable....unless you have a freezer full of them just waiting to be scraped and laid down!!

Well seeing as $50 is the going rate...maybe ill just look at the sites you all posted....I would really like copperhead skins rather than rattlesnake....they just look better to me....also I did some looking around and found a product called "Skin-eez"...they are fake skins that go right over your finish....they look real in the pictures.  Has anyone used them before?  I should know the answer is no since this is a primitive site....just wondering though?

I've seen them and they don't look bad.Copper head is probably going to be harder to find.I think
Gary Davis only has Diamond backs,Mike Yancy has a better selection but not sure on Copper Heads.

Micheal, I'm here every day.  I've just been hangin' behind the scenes 8) ;D

Pappy, if I ever sold my brother in-law a set, I'd make him pay $100 >:D
