I have a PDF file that has instructions on building a arrow shaft plane. Pretty straight foward.
PM me your email
and I'll send it to you, and anybody else who wants it.

The depth of the groove is what you focus on John, width will work itself out from there. Anywhere from 1/4" to 3/8" deep will work fine. Mine is 5/16" deep and 3/4" wide at top. I don't use blanks over 3/8" to start with.
Flip your board over and construct a "U" channel for scrapping. Here it works best by having the channel raised to save a little knuckle bruising. A couple 5/16" or so blanks/rails nailed/glued 1/4" apart works great. The rails also make a great backstop for rasping/filing down shoot arrows. Good luck with your project..........Art
