Mini Scottsbluff
« on: July 07, 2009, 09:52:49 am »
After dropping the Timo inspired one yesterday...and breaking it >:(  I decided to try another one.  This one ain't really big enough for the type, but it was the biggest piece of rock I had.

Be thankfull for all you have, because no matter how bad you think it is...it can always be worse.

Shannon there are many different sizes of scottys,Nothing wrong with the size of that one. Very very nice job! I love it.The base looks good also. ;D

Here is another look at that original of mine, showing the flake pattern and thickness. Again, I wish someday to make points this well.

Sorry about the other point breaking.  That thing happens.  The new point looks great though.  One day when I grow up I am going to make one. ;D ;D

Great work, Shannon. That'un's actually about the right size for a type II, most of the originals averaged about 3" or a bit less. They didn't make most of them as big as we try to.  Tim, I could look at that Scotty all day, that's a fine point and an inspiration.

Hey Shannon, that's a perty point and your flaking scars are perfect. I hate when I drop one , it,s bad enough when I break ,em while still working on them but to be really nice an finished an then drop them hurts bad. Gotta quit knapping on the conc. porch.:>{  Later Bob
