A thousand years in the making
« on: June 13, 2009, 11:39:17 am »
I stopped by a tobacco patch yesterday to see what I could find.  I picked up a few broken pieces and one little thumb scraper. I also picked up a small chunk of some kind of grainy chert.  It had a worked edge around 3 sides, but was about 2" thick and square edged on the forth side. I guess the feller that spalled it out decided it wasn't worth finishing... He didn't have copper ;) ;D
I took it home and finished what he started.
Once I got into the rock, it was actually kinda pretty.

Be thankfull for all you have, because no matter how bad you think it is...it can always be worse.

That is a purty point "banded" and does look awfully grainy. Turned out really nice.

I like it, Shannon. He just left it for you to finish.

That is too cool.  Great job on finishing it.  That took a lot of guts. ;)

That's a really neat point. It would be something if you could get a deer with it!
