hi guys. i know that yall are the kings of modification, so i have a question. i have some shafts that are a little to big for the taper tool. is their any way to taper them well without the tool? or do i just need to buy one?

I use my disc/belt sander to make point and nock(if needed) tapers.

I have a jig set up with a 5 degree taper for point and 11 degree taper for nock(plastic) adjustment that I clamp to the disc side of the sander.
